How it works
- You connect your banks in Redbark through each bank’s official consent flow
- You create a Redbark API key and paste it into Sure
- Sure pulls your accounts, balances, and transactions from the Redbark API
- Syncs run automatically to keep your data current
Setting up Redbark
API access requires a Redbark Developer or Professional plan. It is not available on the Saver plan.
- Sign up at app.redbark.com and connect your bank accounts
- In Redbark, go to Settings > API Keys and create a new key (it is only shown once)
- In Sure, go to Settings > Providers, find the Redbark panel, and paste the key
- Link each bank account to an existing Sure account or create a new one from it
Features
Account syncing
- Account listing: All connected bank accounts with institution names and logos
- Balances: Current balances fetched from your bank on every sync
- Transaction history: The first sync pulls 90 days of history (or from a start date you choose); later syncs are incremental with a 7 day lookback
- Deduplication: Transactions are deduplicated by their Redbark transaction id, so re-syncing never creates duplicates
Pending transactions
Only posted transactions are imported by default. To also import pending transactions, set this in your Sure environment:Limitations
- Australian institutions only (banks under the CDR regime)
- Banking accounts only; brokerage accounts connected to Redbark are not imported
- Data is read-only; Sure never writes anything back to your banks
